Whitestone Media is Growing

by Lisa Joens on June 18, 2009

We have expanded our creative team. We recently hired two new employees for our ink and paint department, Kenric Nilsson and Brian Lammey.  The ink and paint department is one of our most important departments as well as busiest. These guys take all our scenes import them into the computer by scanning each individual frame and digitally paint them. This process back in the day would take weeks, and a painter would paint each cell by hand. Now it takes only a matter of hours with the blessing of the computer. We are very excited to be growing and expanding our animation studio and we welcome these guys aboard.

Tony Bancroft visits Whitestone Media

by Lisa Joens on April 17, 2009

The inimitable Tony Bancroft dropped by the studio to update us on a scene that he is animating for our second episode “Saving Faith”. Mike and Tony go over a particular scene, (the greedy fingers scene)  as well as take a peak at the storyboard for our third episode “Loving Obedience”. We always enjoy visits from our animators.

Update on Episode 2 "Saving Faith"

Episode 2 is coming along nicely. We have finally started animation. As of right now, we are currently working on our animatic. And no, we have not forgotten that we promised to show a sneak peak of our storyboards. Coming soon!

Episode 2 is turning out to be quite a show, with new insights into Theo’s world and of course mischief that only Luther and Belfry can get themselves into. Stay tuned…

The Good News – the Gift of Life

December 16, 2008

This clip is really at the core of Theo’s “Good News.” It clearly depicts the awful separation between sinful mankind and holy God. Because “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), there is no way for this young couple to cross the great divide without Jesus Christ becoming the [...]
