Whitestone Media is Growing

by Lisa Joens on June 18, 2009

We have expanded our creative team. We recently hired two new employees for our ink and paint department, Kenric Nilsson and Brian Lammey.  The ink and paint department is one of our most important departments as well as busiest. These guys take all our scenes import them into the computer by scanning each individual frame and digitally paint them. This process back in the day would take weeks, and a painter would paint each cell by hand. Now it takes only a matter of hours with the blessing of the computer. We are very excited to be growing and expanding our animation studio and we welcome these guys aboard.

We were excited to share the next episode with him which he will also be animating. John is currently working on our second episode “Saving Faith” animating our main character Theo.

Who is Whitestone Media?

by Lisa Joens on February 6, 2009

Well Whitestone Media is the creative team behind Theocartoons. As a team, we collectively work in different areas of each production. Whitestone Media was started over 4 years ago by Michael and Brandon Joens. The company’s main focus was promotional videos, until 2008 when Theo began production. Whitestone Media quickly transformed from not just a video company, but a full working animation studio. We are truly blessed to be able to work in different mediums, and with many talented people.
