Theo was created to introduce kids of all ages to the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith with sound biblical orthodoxy.
Theo has no denominational affiliation but is "Nicean" in the best sense of the word. Theo rejoices in the fact that our Savior will return someday for a bride and seeks to bring unity to the universal church as we learn together the fundamentals of Christian living.
We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God's saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed.
Salvation: God, out of love for the human race, sent the Lord Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners. Jesus Christ, God incarnate (God in the flesh), paid the full penalty for human sins when He died on the cross. Any person, who in simple faith, trusts in the risen Christ as his only hope of heaven, receives the gift of eternal life which once granted can never be lost. (John 3:16-18)
Scripture: The Bible is God's Word written, inspired, infallible, and without error in the original manuscripts, and is the unique, full, and final authority on all matters on which it bears. The New Testament interpretation of the Old Testament, both factually and theologically, represents an authoritative way of interpreting the Bible. (Psalm 119:89; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
Trinity: There is one God, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three Persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Son: Our Lord Jesus was supernaturally conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary. Before His incarnation, He existed in the form of God and of His own choice laid aside His divine glory and took upon Himself the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men. He was put to death by crucifixion, buried and on the third day arose from the dead. After His resurrection, He showed Himself alive to His disciples and others for 40 days. After this, the Lord Jesus ascended into heaven where He is now seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for His children.
We believe that God's justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God's Word, the Spirit's power, and fervent prayer in Christ's name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ's commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.
We believe in the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.
We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace.
